Senders: where your messages go

SMS, email, webhook, bulk SMS and custom gateways

Steps in this video
  1. A sender is a destination. Forward rules and extraction rules deliver messages through it, and senders made on the phone or the website stay in sync.
  2. On the phone, tap Sender in the shortcut row and choose the type you want.
  3. Fill in the details. For email, enter a title, the outgoing server, the SMTP port, SSL, your account and password.
  4. On the website, open the dashboard, then Senders, and pick a type: SMS, email, webhook, custom HTTP API or bulk SMS.
  5. Give it a name, the destination numbers and the SIM. 'Only when there is no internet' makes it an SMS fallback.
  6. Click Create sender. It appears in your list, where Send test checks that it works.
  7. A webhook posts every message to your URL, signed with your secret. A custom HTTP API connects gateways like Termii or Twilio. Or install a ready-made sender from the Sender store.

Forward SMS automatically

To email, a webhook or another phone

Steps in this video
  1. It takes two parts: a sender, which is where messages go, and a forward rule, which decides which messages go there.
  2. First, tap Sender and choose a type. For email, have your mail server details ready.
  3. Give the sender a title, then enter the outgoing server and SMTP port. Turn on SSL if your provider uses it.
  4. Enter the sender account, a nickname, and the password or app code. Then save.
  5. Now open Forward rules. Name the rule and choose which SIM it listens on.
  6. Choose what to match: all messages, or only those from a number or containing certain text.
  7. Pick the sender you created and save. Every matching SMS is now forwarded the moment it arrives.

Extract codes and amounts from SMS

Pull out just the part you need and send it on

Steps in this video
  1. This is great for one-time codes, amounts in bank alerts, and order or tracking numbers.
  2. Add an extraction rule. Give it a name and choose which messages it should read.
  3. Pick a sender. The extracted text is delivered there.
  4. Define the pattern: the text before and after the part you want. Tick Numbers to keep digits only, and set a length.
  5. For example, from 'Your code is 482913', with the start text 'code is', SMSRAVE delivers just 482913.
